How to Discover Your Purpose and Calling
Discover your purpose, Christian calling, purpose God has for you, how to know your calling…
One of the most common questions Christian women ask is, “What is my purpose?” The desire to discover your God-given calling can feel overwhelming, especially when you want to be obedient But purpose is not something you rush to find—it is something God reveals as you walk with Him.
Your calling is not hidden from you; it is revealed through intimacy.
Before God assigns direction, He establishes identity. Scripture reminds us, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you” (Jeremiah 1:5). This means your purpose existed before your plans, fears, or qualifications.
To discover your purpose, start by deepening your relationship with God. Spend time in prayer not only asking what to do, but allowing God to shape who you are becoming. Purpose flows from presence, not pressure.
Often, God reveals calling through obedience in small, quiet steps. What has He consistently placed on your heart? What draws you closer to Him rather than farther away? “In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:6).
Remember, your calling is not only about what you do—it is about who you become in Christ. As you walk faithfully with God, clarity will come in His timing.
